San Diego’s biggest problems right now come from Washington, DC. Aspiring dictators and corporate billionaires are trying to distract from wealth and power grabs by creating chaos. People who weaponize hate, who don’t know us, drawing conclusions based on misleading propaganda parading as ‘news’.

That makes it a scary time to live in. Things feel uncertain, out of control — chaotic.

Forces from the outside are trying to tear apart our communities.

Funding cuts to critical public services that impact everything from your grocery bill to ripping healthcare from children and seniors.
ICE raids on beloved small businesses, near schools, and in court houses.
Tying the hands of educators to teach a history that only tells half truths.

All while costs go up, up, up.
And you can’t pay your bills while they play political games.

It’s exhausting to make a life and a living in the world right now.

But San Diego is worth it. That’s why I have stepped up to lead.

I have stepped up to make sure San Diego County’s government does everything it can to protect the people.
I have stepped up to ensure our office is connecting residents with community-based services.
I have stepped up to do everything in my power to bring us all together.

Because I believe the only way through this mess is together.

Community is the cure for chaos.
And I am grateful to the San Diego community by my side.
